Military Services Luke Air Force Base- Chartered ClubsThere are 140 chartered clubs in Sun City, 100 in Sun City West and approximately 35 in Sun City Grand. These clubs include sports, hobbies, woodworking, sewing, model railroading, painting, ceramics, and many others. Country ClubsThere are three country clubs located in Sun City and one in Sun City West. Membership can be either social and/or golf. Social / Business ClubsThe Lakes club, a social/dining membership club, features special events and promotions. The Metropolitan Club, a business club, is located to the west of the Lakes Club. ChurchesWith over 40 churches, virtually every faith is represented in the Sun Cities. R. V. StorageResidents of all three communities have access to R. V. Storage. There is an R.V rental storage fee of $3.50 per foot per year plus a $3.00 annual Travel Club fee. AGRICULTURAL GARDENSSun City and Sun City West residents may enjoy working a 20’x 40’ plot of land to grow vegetables, etc. The cost is approximately $21.00 a year plus a refundable deposit of $18.00 and a $5.00 membership fee. APPROXIMATE COST OF LIVINGWater: Sun City-$5 base rate plus $0.73 per 1000 gallons for the first 8,000 gallons, then $0.92 per 1,000 gallons thereafter. Sun City West- $5 base rate plus $0.93 per 1,000 gallons for the first 8,000 gallons, then $1.12 per 1,000 gallons thereafter. Sun City Grand- $10 base rate plus $1.78 per 1,000 for the first 8,000 gallons, then $2.24 per 1,000 gallons thereafter. NOTE: There is a $30.00 Establishment Fee to start service.SEWER: Sun City- $12.90 per month Sun City West- $16.27 per month Sun City Grand- $12.00 Per month (Pay 1 year in advance and receive a 5% discount. Total would be $136.80). Trash Collection- $36.00/Quarter- For all Sun Cities year around. The stop/start service is $23.50/month. Telephone- Private line is approximately $20.00 per month. Long distance calls are extra. Utilities- Heating and cooling most of the homes in the Sun Cities are less expensive than in many parts of the country.
